About this restaurant
Once an inn for weary travelers, this establishment has regained its glory as an authentic "estaminet" for all those who wish to quench their thirst or hunger, while enjoying a piece of history far older than Belgium. Under the cornice, between two windows, Mother Spider has been watching over us since 1762, bringing us good luck. And if you lend an ear, you might hear the gentle rustle of the little arm of the Senne that flowed here until the 19th century. Or perhaps it's the last sighs coming from the 16th-century Chartreuse, once located just across the street?

Les plats étaient très bon, très bruxellois, c'était à la hauteur de nos attentes. On est très heureux d'avoir trouvé cet estaminet qui est dans son jus, déco authentique et personnel très agréable et accueil familial, on a eu l'impression de manger chez pépé et mémé. On y retournera très vite!

Waiter was brilliant: We were originally seated in a larger room. When a noisy and boisterous party arrived he asked us if we would like to move to a quieter location - even carried our cutlery and glasses! Food was excellent and when he discovered it was my birthday he brought out a small plate bearing a cork with a sparkler in it - even though I wasn't having dessert. We'll be back.

Spinnekopke was amazing. The food and drinks were some of the best we’ve had in Belgium. The black pudding and croquettes were fantastic. The flavors and combinations were unique and wonderful. Our server was attentive, knowledge and really fun!
