Voted the best Greek restaurant in the world outside of Greece, Notos offers pure Greek cuisine, far from the usual clichés. Constantin Erinkoglou, chef-owner, scours the most remote corners of Greece to bring exceptional products that he brings up-to-date. Notos means "the south wind" in Greek. Constantin Erinkoglou opened the Notos restaurant in a former bookstore in Ixelles in 1995. Greek cuisine on rustic tables attracts friends around wines from local Greek producers. In 2000, Notos moved to a more spacious location on Rue de Livourne, in a lively neighborhood between fashionable Avenue Louise and charming Place du Châtelain. Since then, Notos has set the tone for Greek cuisine in the heart of Brussels and Europe, without tourist allusions, intimately marked by the flavors of a Greece rich in Mediterranean, Oriental and Balkan influences.
