A summer evening on the banks of the Leie,on a terrace overlooking the impressive and historic Graslei. Enjoying a refined French cuisine in the most romantic spot of Ghent. In a listed mansion, dating from the 18th century, Allegro moderato has been established for several years. The stately home, whose façade attracts everyone's attention,was a few years ago the meeting place of the guild of the unfree boatmen. The eighteenth-century model murals, together with classical music, take the visitor back in a flash to the time of guilds and crafts.

Enorm teleurgesteld : het eten was niet lekker...

Enorm teleurgesteld : het eten was niet lekker en niet mooi geserveerd. Ook de bediening liet te wensen over. Een groot verschil met de vroegere Allegro : de fijne Franse keuken en de vriendelijke bediening zijn er jammer genoeg niet meer te vinden.

Heel mooi kader. Lekker gegeten. Prijs-kwaliteit dik in orde! Nog een paar kleine schoonheidsfoutjes in de bediening, maar nog maar net terug open, dus begrijpelijk. De wil om het heel goed te doen is er. Komt zeker goed

Was teleurgesteld Vroeger geweest en het was een rustig stijlvol restaurant,. Nu (wss andere uitbater) lawaaierig, er werd gejaagd weg en weergelopen. Eten was oke maar veel te duur, 8 euro voor een Grimbergen triple? Ik begrijp dat er moet verdiend worden en dat het druk was maar het fijne dineren van vroeger is er zeker niet meer.

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at this restaurant. It has recently changed ownership but the chef is the same. Steven the owner is front of house and looked after us very well. All dishes were delicious and beautifully presented. Couldn’t fault the meal. Set price lunch was very reasonable in comparison to other restaurants in Ghent. Highly recommend. Wish the new owner every success.
