About this restaurant

This house exists from the year 1580. Since there were no house numbers the house had the name "tCleene Capitel." In 1674 the name was changed to "Hemelrijcke" and in the Year 1699 it was named as an inn "The Viercante Gat" operated. After 1939: the name was now changed to "A La Dentellière Du Béguinage" where Bruges lace (also known as bobbin lace) is made and sold. The person who bobbin lace was called "the lace maker; "la dentellière" hence the name of this restaurant ( La Dentellière) which came into existence in the late 1900s.

Het eten was niet super. De groenten waren tot een brij verworden. Er stond luide muziek op en daarenboven was de kelner ook op zijn gsm naar iets aan het kijken met een luid volume. Dat was storend. Geen aanrader

Leuk restaurant aan inrichting maar bediening...

Leuk restaurant aan inrichting maar bediening is absoluut niet geweldig. Vóórdat je op je plek zit krijg je de menukaart al op de tafel gegooid. Veel gerechten staan daar niet eens op maar staan buiten op de borden als dag specialiteit maar vertellen ze niet aan tafel. Eten zelf was niet bijzonder. Al met al geen restaurant om terug te gaan

Cadre agréable et chaleureux. Ambiance assez intimiste et des bons plats ! Le service pourrait peut-être se montrer un peu plus attentif aux clients (nous avons attendu plus de 20 minutes pour que l'on nous apporte la carte des desserts)...

It was closed! We’re in a passed by at 6:15...

It was closed! We’re in a passed by at 6:15 and saw it was closed despite our confirmation. We tried to phone but it rang about 7 times and then just cut off. Very disappointing so would not recommend.

We have visited on a few occasions in the past....

We have visited on a few occasions in the past. We booked our table for 2 way back in the summer but our reservation was remembered. Good friendly service and excelent food. Good choice of beers and wines and not over-priced.
