CONGRATULATIONS ! YOU HAVE MADE IT TO THE VERTIGO RESTAURANT AND COCKTAIL BAR, ALTHOUGH WELL HIDDEN BEHIND THE " ESTRILLE DU VIEUX BRUXELLES ". THIS HISTORIC MONUMENT, OLDEST HOSTEL IN TOWN WAS A MEETING PLACE FOR HORSE RIDING VISITORS, A CROSSROAD OF PHILOSOPHICAL IDEAS AND A CABARET. IN THE COURTYARD, WHEN YOU ENTER ON YOUR RIGHT, YOU WILL FIND THE ENTRANCE OF AN OLD SECRET UNDERGROUND TUNNEL, NOWADAYS SEALED. IT LED SMUGGLERS CLANDESTINELY UNDER THE BARRIER OF BRUSSELS IN ORDER TO ENTER THE CITY. WELCOME IN THE BRUSSELS HIDING PLACE OF THE LEFT UNSAID !

J’ai réservé spécifiquement une table près...

J’ai réservé spécifiquement une table près du feu … le feu ouvert n’était pas allumé… la raison évoquée est le fait qu’il n’y avait plus de bois et que celui qui reste était mouillé. Il y avait des courants d’air … puisque la porte entre la terrasse et l’intérieur n’était pas fermée pour les aller-retours vers le bar … la cuisine était trop salée.

Carte minimaliste... vins plus que moyens......

Carte minimaliste... vins plus que moyens... un spaghetti froid et mauvais et hors de prix 30 euros ! Plus de choix de desserts à 22h30... pas la peine d'annoncer sur site :ouvert jusque minuit... un point +: gentilesse du personnel. Mais cena ne suffit pas... A méditer

I came to Vertigo to celebrate my birthday on the advice of a friend. I loved the warm atmosphere and especially the covered, heated terrace. The service was impeccable and the staff very friendly and attentive! I was very touched by the special birthday attention and the food was excellent!

C’était la deuxième fois que je venais au Verti...

C’était la deuxième fois que je venais au Vertigo et comme la première fois j’ai beaucoup aimé. Nous avions une table « au coin du feu » et j’ai beaucoup apprécié de voir et sentir le feu de cheminée en cette froide et pluvieuse journée d’automne. Le service était au top et la qualité du plat ainsi que les tarifs abordables étaient au rendez - vous. J’y reviendrais.
