At the base of Besjamel are cooking and hospitality. We, Sofie and Jo (the SJ in the name of our gastropub) are happy to serve you your preferred drink, or prepare tasty dishes for you. And we serve everything with a smile, because fun is our main focus. At Besjamel you will feel at home. Fresh milk, of course! Besjamel only processes daily fresh ingredients. Preferably from local suppliers. Even if wine and other farmers live further away, we know them personally. And we are happy to share their passionate life stories with you. At Besjamel you taste the craftsmanship of authentic brewers and other suppliers. Both our classics on the menu - such as the Besjamel balls in tomato sauce and veal sweetbreads with morels - and the monthly seasonal suggestions from world cuisine with which Besjamel surprises you: we give them a special, personal touch. Our beer and wine list also takes you on a journey of discovery. At Besjamel you will enjoy 'classics with a twist'. A perfectly tapped West Flemish pint, or a good glass of terroir wine. A bite plate and/or a single dish. Quietly alone, romantically with two or together with friends and family. At our impressive bar, or at the table next to our glass wine room.
